Selection Process

Students are selected according to their transcripts and personality. Those who meet the standards and values of our firm are invited to a first interview.

Following this brief meeting of about 20 minutes, the Recruitment Committee will select the candidates who will be invited to a second meeting, where they’ll have the opportunity to chat with some of the firm’s lawyers in an informal setting.

At the end of the recruitment process, RSS will offer articling positions to three or four candidates.

Please note that RSS adheres to the Recruitment Agreement that governs the recruitment process.

Key Dates – 2026

  • January 30 – February 2: Receipt of applicants’ cvs
  • February 25 – 27: Calls to schedule interviews
  • March 16 – 18: First round of interviews
  • March 23 – 26: Second round of interviews
  • March 27: Job offers

Our Student Recruitmement Committee

We’re always on the lookout for our future partners. That’s why our Recruitment Committee, comprised of partners from various departments, oversees the evaluation of all applications we receive and ensures that all interviews run smoothly.
