Lauren Flam is an associate in our Civil and Commercial Litigation and Estates, Wills and Trusts Groups. Her practice is centered on advocating for clients in complex estate and trust disputes, especially those involving issues of private international law and the interpretation or validity of wills.
In addition to her expertise in estates and trusts, Lauren is passionate about the protection of vulnerable and/or incapable individuals. She represents clients in contentious matters relating to the homologation of protection mandates and the opening and administration of tutorships.
Since the beginning of her practice, Lauren has been advising individuals and institutions acting on behalf as others in Quebec, such as liquidators, trustees, mandataries and tutors. She has also published articles and presented conferences on best practices and recent legislative changes in the area of administration of the property of others.
Lauren is regularly called upon to represent clients, heirs, trust beneficiaries, liquidators, trustees, tutors and mandataries, in litigious matters before the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal of Québec.
