Emily Dikranian is a lawyer in our Insurance Law Group, focusing her practice on insurance coverage. She is a member of the Quebec and Ontario Bars.

Emily advises insurers on claims and coverage issues notably pertaining to directors’ and officers’ liability, employment practices liability, cyber, fidelity, fiduciary, and miscellaneous professional liability.

Emily’s deep knowledge and experience come from her years of work at two major insurance companies where she handled Specialty and Financial Lines claims and navigated complex coverage disputes on behalf of the insurer.


Representative files and mandates

  • Coverage opinions on professional liability matters involving allegations of negligence against various professionals including architects, engineers, lawyers, and accountants.
  • Coverage opinions on the application of crime insurance policies including when involving social engineering fraud and employee theft.
  • Coverage opinions on directors’ and officers’ claims arising from a broad range of alleged wrongful acts and breaches of duties by these individuals, including in the non-profit, public, and private sectors.
  • Coverage opinions on late reporting and potential prejudice caused to the insurer.
  • Coverage opinions on the application of cyber insurance policies, as well as technology errors & omission policies.
