At RSS, protecting the health and safety of our employees and their families, of our business partners and of our customers is our highest priority, which is why we constantly monitor the information and recommendations made by our governments and the World Health Organization.
Accordingly, we have put in place a business continuity plan to continue to provide you with the level of service you are entitled to expect. Thus, our offices in Montreal, Saint-Jérôme and Saguenay remain open. However, the firm’s technology infrastructure and telework policy allow our employees to continue their work as usual from home if it becomes necessary to close our offices.
Here are some of the preventive measures adopted by RSS to date:
- All out-of-Canada travels, regardless of destination, have been cancelled;
- All personal travel of our members outside of Canada is subject to Health Canada’s recommendations, including a 14-day isolation upon return;
- Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 or who has been in contact with a person with such symptoms is also subject to Health Canada’s recommendations, including isolation for a period of 14 days;
- All internal events, including training activities and conferences, are cancelled until further notice, as well as participation in professional events outside the firm with more than 25 people;
- Replacement, where possible, of all meetings with clients by videoconferences or conference calls.
Finally, in these difficult times, we hope that you and your families stay safe and healthy. We thank you for your continued loyalty and assure you that we will do everything we can to protect and support the well-being of all people in our extended community.
You can also be assured that we continually assess the relevance of the measures we have put in place and that we remain at your service for all your legal needs. We also encourage you to contact us if you have any questions.
