Hugo Vaillancourt is an associate in our Civil and Commercial Litigation Group. His practice focuses primarily on civil, commercial, and real estate litigation, as well as class actions. During his training, he articled with the Honourable Judge Manon Savard of the Quebec Court of Appeal (now Chief Justice). Before joining RSS, Hugo practiced at several law firms specializing in litigation.

Hugo advises and represents businesses and individuals in court.


Representative files and mandates

  • Represented a municipality in an appeal regarding the effect of a declaratory law altering existing legal provisions (2024 QCCA 804)
  • Represented a builder against a vexatious litigant and abusive proceedings (2021 QCCQ 14181)
  • Represented a property owner in a pending action for rent recovery (2020 QCCQ 3234)
  • Represented a shareholder in an oppression action (2018 QCCS 2693)
