Hugo Vaillancourt is a lawyer in our Civil and Commercial Litigation Group. His practice focuses primarily on civil, commercial, and real estate litigation. He advises and represents both businesses and individuals in court.

During his training, Hugo articled with the Honourable Judge Manon Savard of the Quebec Court of Appeal. Before joining RSS, he practiced at several law firms specializing in litigation.

  • Represented an employer in a safeguard order to enforce a non-competition and non-solicitation clause against a former employee (2025 QCCS 210)
  • Represented a municipality in an appeal regarding the effect of a declaratory law altering existing legal provisions (2024 QCCA 804)
  • Represented a builder against a vexatious litigant and abusive proceedings (2021 QCCQ 14181)
  • Represented a property owner in a pending action for rent recovery (2020 QCCQ 3234)
  • Represented a shareholder in an oppression action (2018 QCCS 2693)
