Tara Etcovitch is a lawyer in our Family Law Group. Her practice has focused exclusively on family law since her call to the Quebec Bar.

Tara is an experienced litigator with considerable trial experience, appearing regularly before the Superior Court and Court of Appeal. Her practice focuses on various areas of family law, including divorce, separation, custody, child support, spousal support, division of assets, and pre-marital consultations. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in contested and non-contested cases.

Tara prides herself on her honesty, practicality and dedication to her clients. She takes a highly principled approach to her practice and focuses on cases she truly believes in. Tara is always supportive and empathetic, helping her clients navigate challenging moments in their lives.


Representative files and mandates

Tara’s experience includes:

  • Representing spouses in amicable separations
  • Advising on pre-and post-nuptial contracts and co-habitation agreements
  • Custody cases, some of which involve parental alienation
  • Cases involving child support and special expenses relating to children above the age of majority
  • Cases involving claims of compensatory allowances and unjust enrichment between de facto spouses
  • Proceedings before the Quebec Court of Appeal
