A seasoned litigator and outstanding tactician, Normand Laurendeau has substantial experience before all courts in Quebec as well as numerous administrative tribunals.
His principal areas of practice include transportation law, civil litigation, estate litigation and construction law. Over the years, Normand developed remarkable skills in analyzing applications and elaborating strategic intervention plans. He also provides legal, logistic and operational support to numerous managers of our corporate clients.
Mr. Laurendeau is very familiar with the Commission des transports du Québec, the province’s transportation board, where he represented coach and taxi operators as well as road transportation companies.
He represented the applicant company in Roy livraison spécialisée inc. c. Commission des transports du Québec, a case that led to a precedent-setting decision on the criteria to be declared an operator of heavy vehicles.
He is well known for his skills with the statutory and regulatory aspects of transportation, acquired by representing and advising mainly transportation companies. His competence is widely recognized in the industry, as is his network of contacts.
