As a litigator in our Insurance Group, Marika Douville represents insurance companies and their insured before all levels of Quebec courts. The better part of her practice consists of professional liability.
After being called to the Quebec Bar, Marika spent seven years with a boutique firm specializing in medical and hospital liability. She then turned to commercial litigation, representing major financial institutions and developing helpful experience of guarantees, real estate law, insolvency and bankruptcy.
By herself or in collaboration with senior lawyers, she was involved in numerous files, including class actions. Nowadays, her practice consists mostly of claims arising from alleged negligence of notaries and building inspectors, and of defence work against claims arising from bodily injuries.
A young and talented lawyer, Marika has developed sophisticated skills in analysis, drafting, examination, representation and negotiation that allow her to meet the highest expectations.
